A beautiful old saw mill blade that my friends and I have been carrying around for 25 years, getting strung up and played for her glorious tone in our various noise bands, gets a loving frame to set in. Now she’s fancy with her decorative cut plate steel doorway and gilding on her sharp places.43 wide x 50 inches tall, footprint is 19’ deep x 51” wide

Waterwheel Installation 1996This is an old piece that has come up in conversation lately. Built in parts for most of 1995 in my apartment, Jeff Branson’s backyard foundry and the 20th street gym (ceramics room), it was put together and installed in it’s temporary existence in the Spring of 1996 at 4949 Williams in Denver, CO. It was on view and available for viewers to play for 3 weeks before it was taken apart and recycled.
Waterwheel Installation 19961996 Installation by Pamela Webb. 25 foot diameter. The water wheel was a human powered musical instrument, built in a unique warehouse space in Denver back when there were spaces like this! The piece was built in bits and pieces over a year's time and installed for 3 weeks of public viewing and playing with. It's made of wood, steel, ceramic, and cast bronze figures welded into the spokes. It was a temporary, site-specific piece. The buckets on the ends of the arms lifted water from the floor into a series of gutters hanging around this enormous, old boiler room. The gutters were split in places to make rain fall all around the viewers onto surfaces that catch the water and resonate with the sounds of rain on a tin roof. The rushing of the bucket loads of water held a steady percussive beat that could increase or decrease speed with the human musician, turning the wheel.
Large Star Earrings in Sterling and gold keum booHand cut, these large earrings are a meditation on the math that creates their beautiful patterns. A thin layer of 24k yellow gold is fused on. The Sterling is darkened with liver of sulfur.

Damselfly EarringsA matched pair, found dead together trapped inside a store front became solid Sterling in a lost wax casting process, not replaceable, not a mold. Each dead bug yields one cast piece, if it works. Working with found objects always has more variables that can make it go all wrong. The castings are backed with forged tendrils of sterling, creating the swirl of motion between wings.
Sterling Feather EarringsRoller-printed with feathers that fall off of my birds (I have chickens). I roll in the texture and then draw and hand-cut the feathers to flow with that feather, no two are alike.
