ACLU - Colorado

The ACLU of Colorado is the state’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. We give whenever and whatever we can to them. We feel like, if we can afford to go out to eat, we should be trying to help someone else as well.

Jeffco Action Center

The Action Center provides goods and services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness or hunger. They work right here in our neighborhood and I sponsor an Empty Bowls fundraiser for them every year. I get my teenage students involved in making ceramic pieces for fundraising and we create an Empty Bowls event. See more about Empty Bowls here:

Colorado Metalsmithing Association

This is a wonderful association! Many of the founders are teachers and mentors to me in my metal crafts. I receive so much of an education from my peers in this group and from their annual conference. (Unfortunately cancelled this year)

Other memberships include Jefferson County Education Association, Boulder Metalsmithing Association, and Colorado Public Radio.
